An Avis Worldwide Discount (AWD) number may be found in newspapers, magazines or television ads; by clicking banner ads on Web sites; or on the avis.com Web site.

If you're a member of an organization or company that partners with Avis, please contact that organization directly and ask whether it has an Avis Worldwide Discount number you may use for your rental.

An Avis Wizard number is the easiest way to manage your Avis reservations. With a Wizard number, you can store your travel details and preferences in your profile, making reservations easier and faster. You can quickly track, view, modify or cancel your upcoming reservations, and get receipts for past rentals with just one click.

How to get one -

You can easily register online to either My Avis or, for frequent travelers, Avis Preferred Service and you'll automatically receive a Wizard number right away. You can also enroll at an Avis location, through your company if they have a corporate relationship with Avis, or by calling Customer Service at 1-866-842-5552 .

Locate Wizard Number or need a replacement card -

For customers who have registered with Avis.com and have a My Avis account, simply login to your profile. On the My Account page, under My Saved Information, you'll find your Wizard number through the View/Print Avis Card or the Identity Information tabs. If you have an Avis Charge card, please call Customer Service at 1-866-842-5552 to request a replacement.

Forgot Wizard Number or Password -

Go to the My Avis account page, and click the corresponding link.

  • To look up your Wizard Number, you'll be prompted to provide some basic information, such as first and last name, credit card type, and credit card number stored on your profile.
  • To reset your password, you'll need to answer the Reminder Question originally set when you enrolled.

Please note: If you have just enrolled in Avis Preferred Service, you may still need to activate your account from your e-mail confirmation page.

Yes. You can still make a reservation on Avis.com with an expired or cancelled credit card number, but you will need to provide a valid credit card at the time of rental. Preferred Service members will need to stop at the counter before going out to their assigned spot. To avoid this hassle, we recommend you update the credit card on your profile before making any reservations.

 

For customers who have registered with Avis.com and have a My Avis profile, updating information in your profile is easy!

Just login and click on the section under My Saved Information that you would like to update:

  • Travel Preferences - select vehicle preferences and optional items, such as GPS, Roadside Safety Net, and Fuel Service Option.
  • Protections / Coverages - set personal and rental car coverages.
  • Identity / Password - for name changes, phone number updates and to change password.
  • Contact Information - update your address, country of residence* and e-mail address.
  • Drivers License - country, state and D/L number can be updated here.
  • Credit Card - change the card stored in your profile, or simply update expiration date.
  • Site Preferences - set the language Avis.com displays in: English, Spanish or French; you can also choose the type of communications you receive from Avis through this section.

Each section, once expanded, has an edit link. Click the edit link to begin, make your updates and finish by clicking the save button.

*Please Note: Preferred Service members may not change country of residence through the online process.
