IMPORTANT - LaGuardia Airport (LGA) is currently under major construction. Please advise all customers to expect delays getting to our facility and back. Due to construction at the time of vehicle return all customers should allow for 2 hours or less before flight for return back to the airport. Note - Port Authority will have signage throughout LGA to help customers.
Exit terminal & proceed to Rental Car Bus Stop area. Please note in terminal B, this is on the upper level. Exit terminal & proceed to Rental Car Bus Stop area. Please note in terminal B, this is on the upper level. Starting on the 15th of November, LGA will be moving to a consolidated bussing plan. All customers from any terminal except the Marine Air Terminal (Terminal A) will get on a Port Authority Bus labeled "Red/Blue Route" which will then take them to a common bus stop at the Marine Air Terminal (Terminal A). The customer will then have to walk through the Marine Air Terminal Lobby and proceed to cross the street to the rental car common Bus waiting area. Avis customers will proceed to the Avis shuttle bus; which will then take customers directly to Car Rental Facility. Upon arrival all Preferred Service customers with reservations will look for the the board. All returning customers will be taken from the Car Rental Facility back to the common bus area located at the Marine Air Terminal (Terminal A). Customers will then get on the Port Authority Bus labeled "Red/Blue Route" depending on which terminal they are headed to.,Upon arrival at the rental facility, check your email on your smartphone or the Preferred board for the space number of your preassigned vehicle.
You have the option to accept the preassigned car or exchange it for a similar car from the Select & Go Exchange Area or upgrade the car to a specialty vehicle from the Select & Go Upgrade Area. Cars in the Select & Go Upgrade Area have the additional daily cost posted on the hangtag.
Once you have selected your vehicle, drive the vehicle to the exit booth and present your driver's license to the Avis representative who will quickly complete the transaction and get you on your way.

WALK-UP RENTERS/LOCAL RENTERS - Follow airport signs for Rental Car Return. They will lead to the Avis Vehicle rental lot. Proceed inside to the counter
VEHICLES: Located approx 1 mile from the airport at the Car Rental Facility.
RETURNS: Same as pick-up. Look for the "Car Rental Return" signs. All returning customers will be taken from the Car Rental Facility back to the common bus area located at the Marine Air Terminal (Terminal A). Customers will then get on the Port Authority Bus labeled "Red/Blue Route" depending on which terminal they are headed to.
AFTER-HOURS RETURNS: Open 24 hours.
After-hours Returns
Park & lock the car. Place the completed contract & the keys in the Drop Box located in the Returns area. Remember to take your personal belongings with you.
