Optional Coverages

Collision Damage Waiver is optional

Customer is liable for the full value of the Avis vehicle if Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is not purchased.  If CDW is purchased, the renter's liability is between 300.00 USD to 700.00 USD, depending on car group rented.

Theft Protection (TP) is included with the purchase of Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

Note: If you require additional insurance coverage you may purchase locally to reduce/remove the insurance excess.  Just ask at the Avis rental desk when you collect your car.

Global insurance coverages are always subject to change. Please verify at time of rental.

Credit Card Policies

Avis Democratic Republic of Congo accepts Avis Charge Cards, Mastercard, Visa.

Debit Card Policies

Debit cards are not accepted.

Drivers License

At the time of rental, the driver must present a valid driver's license in the driver's name from their country of residence.  Customers presenting a driver's license in a non-Roman alphabet must also present an International Driving Permit (IDP) to serve as a translation in addition to their valid drivers license.

Public Liability and Property Damage

Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country.  Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.

Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles.  The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental.  Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.

Age Requirements

At this location the minimum age is 21 for all car groups.
Drivers between the ages of 21 and 25 will be charged a Young Driver Fee of 15.00 USD per day per young driver.
