NOTA: Algumas lojas podem disponibilizar um local para deixar a chave. Se o cliente escolher deixar o veículo, ele será responsável pelo veículo e por todas as taxas (incluindo qualquer dano que possa ocorrer ao veículo fora do expediente) até que o contrato possa ser fechado no próximo dia útil.
Se a loja não tiver uma caixa para deixar a chave, ela não permite que os veículos sejam deixados após o fechamento da loja. O cliente nunca deve trancar as chaves dentro do carro. Será cobrada uma taxa do cliente para que o chaveiro destranque o veículo.

Optional Coverages

At Avis Bonaire, we offer two types of insurance to protect customers in case of collision with the rental vehicle.

Insurance Coverage Deductible
PDW (Partial Damage Waiver): Deductible is 650.00 USD
LDW (Loss Damage Waiver): Zero Deductible
No Insurance: Customer is responsible for all damage costs.

Insurance Details:
   • PDW (Partial Damage Waiver): In case of collision or damage to the vehicle, the customer must pay a deductible of $650.00 USD + taxes.
   • LDW (Loss Damage Waiver): In case of collision or damage to the vehicle, the customer will not have to pay any deductible.
   • No Insurance Taken: If the customer does not purchase any insurance, they will be fully responsible for all costs incurred in case of damage to the vehicle.

Important Notes:
1. PDW and LDW DO NOT cover:
     o Tires, rims, windows, and keys.
     o Vandalism (theft of personal belongings).
     o Damage caused by refueling with the wrong type of fuel.
2. In case of a collision, the vehicle MUST be immediately immobilized, and the Road Service must be called to make the official accident report. The accident scene must not be altered. If these rules are not followed, the insurance will become invalid.
3. The insurance may not apply if the driver is found to be under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or engaging in reckless driving.

Note:  If you require additional insurance coverage you may purchase locally to reduce/remove the insurance excess.  Just ask at the Avis rental desk when you collect your car.

Global insurance coverages are always subject to change. Please verify at time of rental.

Credit Card Policies

At Avis Bonaire, we accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover credit cards.
The standard deposit amount charged to the customer's credit card is $650.00 USD, plus the estimated total cost of the rental. . However, this amount may be reduced if the customer chooses one of the collision insurance options we offer: Chosen Insurance                 Deposit Amount on Credit Card

Some customers have car rental insurance through their credit card, or a third-party company, this does not exempt them from the required deposit.


Debit Card Policies

Debit cards are not accepted.

Drivers License

A valid driver's license from country of residence is required.  License must have been held for at least 3 consecutive years immediately prior to rental pick-up date.  International driving permit (IDP) is required only for countries with non-Roman alphabet to serve as a translation.

Public Liability and Property Damage

Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country.  Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.

Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles.  The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental.  Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.

Age Requirements

At this location the minimum age is

  • 25 years for all car groups.  
  • maximum age is 70 for all car groups.
