AIRLINE PASSENGERS: After claiming baggage customers must call the Avis location directly at 1-868-6690905 for pickup service and directions.
VEHICLES: Will be located right outside the Avis facility.
RETURNS: Customers will return their vehicle to the Avis location and Avis will shuttle customers back to the airport.

Optional Coverages

Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) is optional (taxable)
Purchase of Loss Damage Waiver reduces the renters financial liability (NWE) for damages to the Avis vehicle as a result of an accident, vandalism or theft. The amounts are as follows: 

If LDW is accepted, the Non-Waivable Excess (NWE) is 10,000 TTD for all car groups.
If LDW is declined, the customer is liable for the full value for all car groups. 

Theft Protection (TP) is included in the purchase of LDW

Note: If you require additional insurance coverage you may purchase locally to reduce/remove the insurance excess.  Just ask at the Avis rental desk when you collect your car.

Global insurance coverages are always subject to change. Please verify at time of rental.

Credit Card Policies

Avis Trinidad and Tobago accepts Avis Charge Cards, American Express, MasterCard and Visa.  The charge card hold is the estimated rental charges plus the amount below:
Note - *The amount below will be refunded when the car is returned in the same condition as upon checkout/pickup of vehicle.

* If LDW accepted 2,000 TTD - All Car Groups

* If LDW declined 4,000 TTD - All Car Groups.

Debit Card Policies

Debit cards are not accepted.

Drivers License

At the time of rentals, the driver must present a valid drivers license in the drivers name from their country of residence.  Customers presenting a drivers license in a non-Roman alphabet must also present an International Driving Permit (IDP) to serve as a translation in addition to their valid drivers license..

Public Liability and Property Damage

Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country.  Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.

Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles.  The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental.  Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.

Age Requirements

At this location the minimum age to rent is 25 years for all car groups, maximum age to rent is 69 years.

Not applicable. Cars are not allowed outside of the island (Trinidad). Therefore not allowed to Tobago.
