Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is mandatory if driving into Latvia or Estonia

Customer is liable for the full value of the Avis vehicle if TP is not taken.  If TP is purchased, customer's liability is reduced to EUR 1000.00 or EUR 1200.00 for car groups G, J, M.

Note: If you require additional insurance coverage you may purchase locally to reduce/remove the insurance excess.  Just ask at the Avis rental desk when you collect your car.

Avis Lithuania accepts Avis Charge Cards, American Express, Diners Club / Amoco Torch, MasterCard / Access / Eurocard, Visa.

Debit cards are not accepted.

The renter must have held a valid driver's licence for at least one year. The renter must present valid driver licence at the time of rental. The licence must be valid at the time of the rental and remain valid throughout the rental period. International driver license is required for licenses in non-Roman Alphabet.
For car groups H, J, L and M two valid presonal credit cards are required.

An International Driving Permit (IDP) serves only as a translation of a driver's existing license, and by itself is not acceptable for vehicle rental.

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) is optional and available for purchase at the time of rental.

Purchase of PAI provides coverage for accidental death, disability, and medical expenses benefits covering the Avis renter and passengers.

Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country.  Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.

Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles.  The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental.  Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.

Please note that a late service surcharge will apply to rentals picked up between 6:00 pm to 10:59 pm at EUR 25.00+tax and for rentals between 11:00 pm and 7:59 am a charge of EUR 40.00 +tax will apply.

Minimum age: 21 for car groups B, C, D, E, F and M, 23 for car groups H, I, K, and O, 25 for all other car groups. Young Driver fee will apply to drivers under 25 years of age.  The Young Driver fee is 10.00 EUR per day per driver, maximum 10 day charge. 

All additional drivers must be at least 25 years of age.  The fee for each additional driver is $13/day with a maximum charge of $65 per rental.  In California, the following may drive the car with the renters permission, are exempt from the additional driver fee, but must meet all other driver requirements: the renter's employer or fellow employee when on company business and renting under a corporate account; the renter's spouse or domestic partner; child, sibling or grandparent of the renter; the companion driver of a renter with a disability who has completed the non-licensed renter form; for insurance replacement rentals, company employees or family members who are designated on the insurance policy.  All other additional drivers must complete and sign an additional driver form and present valid credit identification.  A maximum of two additional drivers may complete a form.

• A Frequent Traveler Program Surcharge or Excise Tax of up to $1.50 per day may be applied and will be assessed in connection with miles, points or credits earned pursuant to this reservation.
• Extensions or late returns may result in additional charges.

Personal Effects Insurance (PEP) is available under Super Personal Accident Insurance (SPAI) - is a counter sale only product that covers personal property in the Avis car.

Full Credit Voucher rentals are accepted.
Fixed value vouchers require the renter to present an Avis-honored charge card as a guarantee.

Exceptions:

• Full Size 4X4 and Luxury vehicles (car groups J & L) - Require renter to present two Avis-honored charge cards, one charge card must be an American Express card.
• Full Size Van (car group G) - Any car group that contains a Mercedes must present 2 Avis-honored charge cards.  One of the charge cards must be either an American Express or Diners Club card.  Authorization of the estimated rental charges will be obtained on both cards at the time of rental.
