Additional Driver Standard Policy
All additional drivers must meet the same minimum age & drivers license requirements as the renter. An additional charge of USD 9.99 per day will be applicable for any additional driver.
Optional Coverages
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is included in the rate
Customer is liable for the full value of the Avis vehicle if CWD is not taken. If CDW is purchased, the customer's liability will be reduced to an amount ranging from USD $500.00 to USD $2,000.00, depending on the car group rented.
Theft Protection (TP) is optional (taxable)
Customer is liable for the full value of the Avis vehicle if TP is not taken. If TP is purchased, the customer's liability will be reduced to an amount ranging from USD $1,600.00 to USD $40,000.00, depending on the car group rented.
Note: If you require additional insurance coverage you may purchase locally to reduce/remove the insurance excess. Just ask at the Avis rental desk when you collect your car.
Credit Card Policies
Avis Lebanon accepts Avis Charge Cards, American Express, MasterCard, Visa.
For car groups I, M, N and P it is Mandatory to present 2 Avis honored credit cards.
Payments for Non-Prepaid reservations should be paid only by Cash USD, International Credit Card, or Lebanese pounds base on Sayrafa Rate.
Debit Card Policies
Debit cards are not accepted.
Drivers License
All drivers must have held a full license for a minimum of 2 years. For foreigners an international driving license and valid passport is required.
Personal Accident Insurance
Details available at time of rental.
Public Liability and Property Damage
Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country. Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.
Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles. The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental. Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.
Additional Information
Responsibility: in case of non-adherence with the Lebanese traffic regulations, insurance will not cover damages incurred to vehicles due to accidents and all charges will be under renters full risk.
Rental period: minimum durantion for any rental is 24 hours, each excess of this will be charged as a full day.
Rule of the road: drive on the right hand side of the road. Seat belts are mandatory.
Age Requirements
At this location the minimum age is 23 for all car groups. A Young Driver fee will apply to drivers between the ages of 21 and 23. The Young Driver fee is 9.99 USD per day per driver.
Fuel Policy
Must be returned with a full tank.
