Additional Driver Standard Policy

Collision Damage Waiver

The optional purchase of Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) reduces the renter's financial liability (NWE) in case of damage to the Avis vehicle from accidents 
The optional purchase of Theft Protection (TP) reduces renter's financial liability (NWE) for theft of part or all of the Avis vehicle

The price of CDW/TP and the customer's responsibility amount (Excess) can be found in the Optional Coverages section located on the Reservations tab. If declined, the renter is responsible for the full value of the vehicle.

Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) Super Theft/Lost Waiver (STP) is an excess reduction product which reduces your excess to zero.


Optional Coverages

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is optional
Customer is liable for an amount ranging from USD $600.00 to USD $1,000.00, depending on the car group rented, if CDW is not taken.  If CDW is purchased, the customer's liability will be reduced to USD $200.00.

Theft Protection (TP) is optional
Customer is liable for an amount ranging from USD $600.00 to USD $1,000.00, depending on the car group rented, if TP is not taken.  If TP is purchased, the customer's liability will be reduced to USD $200.00.

Note: If you require additional insurance coverage you may purchase locally to reduce/remove the insurance excess.  Just ask at the Avis rental desk when you collect your car.

Global insurance coverages are always subject to change. Please verify at time of rental.

Avis Jordan accepts Avis Charge Cards, American Express, Diners Club / Amoco Torch, MasterCard / Access / Eurocard, Visa.

Debit cards are not accepted.

Drivers License

At the time of rental, the driver must present a valid driver's license in the driver's name from their country of residence.  Customers presenting a driver's license in a non-Roman alphabet must also present an International Driving Permit (IDP) to serve as a translation in addition to their valid drivers license.

Personal Accident Insurance


Public Liability and Property Damage

Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country.  Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.

Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles.  The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental.  Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.

Age Requirements

At this location the minimum age is 22 for all car groups.  Maximum age is 70 for all car groups.
