Rent a Car at Centro de Iquique

Cash rentals are not allowed. Renter must present a Avis honored charge card as a guarantee.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is Optional and includes Theft Protection (TP) Customer is liable for full value of the Avis vehicle if Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is not taken. Purchase of CDW reduces liability in the event of an accident to the Avis vehicle to 10 UF or 20 UF depending on car group rented. Purchase of CDW reduces liability in the event of theft of the Avis vehicle to 30 UF to 150 UF depending on car group rented. Purchase of CDW reduces liability in the event of a turnover, rollover or flipped Avis vehicle to 30 UF to 150 UF depending on car group rented. CDW does not cover car accessories such as radio, hub caps, etc.

Note: If you require additional insurance coverage you may purchase locally to reduce/remove the insurance excess. Just ask at the Avis rental desk when you collect your car.

Avis Chile accepts Avis Charge Cards, American Express, Diners Club, Mastercard and Visa. At the time of rental, there will be a charge card hold which varies depending on the car group rented. If CDW is accepted, the charge card hold is the estimated rental charges plus 400,000 CLP or 2500000,000 CLP depending on car group rented. If CDW is declined, the charge card hold is the estimated rental charges plus 3,000,000 CLP.

Note: All customers paying with American Express or Visa cards may not be required to leave a deposit, if the local charge card company representative confirms CDW coverage on the vehicle rented.

Debit cards are not accepted.

At the time of rental, the driver must present a valid driver's license in the driver's name from their country of residence.  Customers presenting a driver's license in a non-Roman alphabet must also present an International Driving Permit (IDP) to serve as a translation in addition to their valid drivers license.

Valid driver's license from country of residence and passport are required.  International driving license is required only for countries with non-Roman alphabet.  International driving license is a translation only.

Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country.  Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.

Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles.  The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental.  Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.

All locations: Only one additional driver allowed. The additional driver must meet the same restrictions as the primary driver and must be present at the time of rental. Additional Drivers fee is 3.90 CLP per day for each additional driver.

At this location the minimum age is 22 for all car groups. Maximum age none.

The vehicle is rented with a full tank of gas and must be returned with a full tank of gas or there will be a charge for refueling. If you have refueled please keep your receipt for verification purposes. Check with counter for prepaid options.

No Avis cars may travel outside of Chile.
For now, the Border Crossing Permit service is suspended, so it is not possible to leave the country with a rented vehicle.
Exception: Depending on border crossing relationships, customer may be permitted to cross border to Argentina. Customer must contact the rental location at least 72 working hours prior to rental for details and confirmation.
