CAR RENTAL Port Miami Cruiseship Shuttle (Q8M)

GENERAL DIRECTIONS

COUNTER: The Avis shuttle that services the pier, passes by the port every 20-30 minutes depending on traffic as well as the number of ships in port. An ambassador at the port will direct customers on where to stand to wait for the shuttle. Note - The ambassadors change positions according to how busy the port is. If needing shuttle transportation, the customer must wave for the driver of the shuttle.
The shuttle will only stop if there is a shuttle space available. No fee for pick up when booking Port of Miami Cruise ship Shuttle pick up at Q8M Port of Miami Cruise Ship Shuttle rental only location. The last shuttle is at 1:30pm. Note - If there is only one ship, then the last shuttle is based on number of returns.
CARS: Are located downtown Miami Avis office M6I- 89 SE 2nd St.
RETURNS: Customers will need to return cars to the downtown Miami Avis office M6I - 89 SE 2nd St then the customer will be shuttled back to the pier.

PREFERRED SERVICE

Show your drivers license and identify yourself as a Preferred Renter to the Avis rental agent in order to receive your preprinted rental document and keys.

RETURNS: Customers will need to return cars to the downtown Miami Avis office M6I - 89 SE 2nd St then the customer will be shuttled back to the pier.

AFTER-HOURS RETURNS

Rental vehicle must be returned during office hours.

NOTE: Some locations may have a key drop available:

Drop Box Available: If the customer chooses to leave the vehicle, the customer is responsible for the vehicle & all charges (including any damages or theft of the vehicle may have incurred during after hours) until the contract can be closed on the following business day.

Drop Box NOT Available: If the location does not have a key drop box, the location does not permit vehicles to be left after closing hours. The customer should never lock or leave the keys inside the car. The customer is responsible for the vehicle & all charges (including any damages to or theft of the vehicle and locksmith fees if they choose to lock the keys in the car). The customer can either choose to return the car the next day the location is open OR change the Drop Off Location to the nearest Regional Airport. Customer is responsible for all charges related to the drop-off modification.
