Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is optional

This is a mandatory insurance included in the rental. The renter will be responsible for an excess between QAR 1000 - 2500. Police report is required.

We accept all major credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, Diners, JCB, Amex), Avis Charge Cards, AVIS Vouchers or Corporate LPO(s) as method of payments.
Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) are accepted from companies who are already registered locally with AVIS Qatar (Venture Gulf Rent A Car).

Additional Charge Card Hold: The estimated cost of the rental and insurance charges are payable in advance. A credit card is mandatory for any reservation except in case of Full credit voucher.
A credit card "PRE-AUTHORIZATION" is taken at the time of rental which includes cover cost of insurance excess/damage charges, traffic fines and other charges due from the renter.
Pre-authorization amount on credit card will be QAR 1000 minimum. We keep pre-authorization amount until we receive confirmation or clearance of traffic fines and charges due. Release of the pre-authorize amount may take from 14 to 30 business/banking days. This may vary depending on the credit card company.

WEB/GEB (Global Electronic Billing) can only be used at this location if it is linked to an Avis Account.  Otherwise customer must present an alternate form of credit identification and payment.

GCC Nationals & Residents
GCC nationals and residents can drive in Qatar for 3 months from the date of entry in Doha provided a valid driving license, resident permit of that country.

Visitors & Tourists
Visitors & tourists holding a valid International Driving license can drive in Qatar within 6 months from the date of entry in Doha.

Renter without international driving license are permitted to rent for a period up to 7 days from the date of arrival using their National License. Rental period beyond 7 days, renter must obtain a temporary Qatari Driving license valid for the duration of stay.

Note that if a visitor changes his status to resident and has been issued with employment/work visa/ resident permit, he is no longer eligible to drive unless a valid Qatar Driving license is provided. Refer to requirements for Qatar residents.

All international travelers and visitors to Qatar are required to provide copy of their passport along with their entry stamp.

Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country.  Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.

Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles.  The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental.  Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.
