Dead Horse Point State Park

Local legend has it that the point got its name from cowboys who used it to corral mustangs. According to the story, cowboys stranded a group of wild horses on the point, and they died of thirst. You can take in the sights of the desert landscape and coursing river by day, and enjoy the unpolluted stargazing at night. Dead Horse Point is also a Dark Sky Park.
