Where is Avis at Chicago Midway International Airport?

After picking up your luggage at the baggage claim, exit through the glass doors marked number three. From there, locate the nearby car rental shuttle bus stop. Regular shuttles arrive every fifteen minutes, 24 hours a day.

Once the shuttle arrives, it will take you directly to the rental car facility. The ride is about four minutes long. Once you arrive at the facility, proceed to the Avis counter on level 3.

MDW Rental Car Return

MDW car rental returns are located at the car rental facility at 5150 West 55th Street, Chicago, IL, 60638.

Take the rental car return entrance just off 55th Street and follow the Avis signs for car rental return. Park your vehicle, remove all of your items, and lock the car. If you’re arriving after hours, put the keys and the completed contract into the drop box.

How old do you have to be to rent a car in Chicago, IL?

We rent to people as young as 21 with a valid driver’s license and an Avis-approved credit card. Renters ages 21-24 should be prepared to pay an underage surcharge of $27 each day.

Follow signs to the baggage claim area then exit glass doors near carousel number 3, walk to the designated rental car shuttle bus stop and board a common rent-a-car bus for a 4-minute ride to the rental car facility. The busses operate 24 hours a day and depart regularly for the rental facility. Take the elevator to Level 3 for the Avis Preferred counter to pick up your rental vehicle.,Upon arrival at the rental facility, check your email on your smartphone or the Preferred board for the space number of your preassigned vehicle.
You have the option to accept the preassigned car or exchange it for a similar car from the Select & Go Exchange Area or upgrade the car to a specialty vehicle from the Select & Go Upgrade Area. Cars in the Select & Go Upgrade Area have the additional daily cost posted on the hangtag.
Once you have selected your vehicle, drive the vehicle to the exit booth and present your driver's license to the Avis representative who will quickly complete the transaction and get you on your way.
General Directions
AIRLINE PASSENGERS: Follow signs to the baggage claim area then exit glass doors near carousel number 3, walk to the designated rental car shuttle bus stop and board a common rent-a-car bus for a 4-minute ride to the rental car facility. The busses operate 24 hours a day and depart regularly for the rental facility. Upon arrival at the Rental Car Facility, proceed directly to the Avis rental counter.
WALK-UP RENTERS: Enter the rental car return entrance off of 55th Street. Follow signs to Avis vehicle return which is located on level 4. After returning your vehicle, proceed to the elevator and take it to the first floor. The shuttle bus stop outside the lobby. The busses depart regularly for the airport.
After-hours Returns
Park & lock the car. Place the completed contract & the keys in the Drop Box located in the Returns area. Remember to take your personal belongings with you.
