In California, the normal age at which Avis rents vehicles is 25. However, some vehicle classes are available to rent to customers ages 21-24 with a valid driver’s license, who own an Avis-honored credit card. Keep in mind that there is an underage surcharge fee of $27 per day for drivers ages 21-24.
