Credit Card Policies
We accept all major Credit Cards (MASTER, VISA, JCB, DINERS, AMERICAN EXPRESS
AND UNION PAY), Avis Charge Cards, Avis Vouchers or Corporate LPO(s), as method of
payment(s).
Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) are accepted from companies who are already registered locally/internationally with AVIS UAE and meet all the required criteria.
Credit card should be valid for a minimum of 3 months from the day of Rental and must be physically available at time of vehicle collection. Please note that in all cases, DEBIT CARDS, PREPAID, RECHARGE, APPLE PAY, GOOGLE PAY or VIRTUAL CREDIT CARDS are not accepted as 'security'.
Russian Bank credit cards: As advised by international credit and debit card issuers, we are temporarily not accepting credit/debit cards issued from Russia and/or Russian Banks.
In case of refunds, the customer has to provide another acceptable refund platform to Avis UAE subject to approval to process the refund.
Deposit
The estimated cost of the rental, value added services and insurance charges are payable in
advance.
A credit card is mandatory for any reservation, except in case of Full Credit Voucher. A Pre-
authorization is taken at the time of rental which includes insurance excess amount and any
unforeseen charges such as Fuel, Traffic Fines, Toll Gate Fees, Damage Charges etc. Pre-
authorization amount on credit card is between AED 3000-5000, depending on rented car group.
AED 3000 will be held for group A,B,C,D, E, J & K and AED 5000 will be held for remaining groups F,G,H,I,L,M,N,O&P.
We keep pre-authorization amount until we receive confirmation regarding Traffic Fines and
Toll Gate Fees from RTA (Roads and Transport Authorities). It may take up to 15-21 working
days from the date of transaction to release the blocked amount (pre-auth) on the credit card.
Debit Card Policies
Debit cards are not accepted as a mode of security. We do accept debit cards only for payments.
Drivers License
Requirement to bring a valid driving licence with you.
All drivers must have a valid driving license held for a minimum of one (1) year.
Physical Driving permit should be presented at the time of rental pick up and carried during your rental period.
1. UAE Residents
A valid UAE driving licence is a must.
Please note that driving without a valid UAE driving licence when on Residence or Employment Visa is a violation of the UAE Law & AVIS UAE will refuse to rent.
2. Non- UAE Residents
All non-UAE residents are required to hold a valid International Driving License along with
their National Driving License, except drivers holding driver’s license from the following
countries. Please visit the link UAE Government for on time updates.
Original license should be from the same country as the passport issuing country if not should provide required visa/ID documents to prove valid permanent residency of the country where the licence is issued.

Public Liability and Property Damage
Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country. Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.
Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles. The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental. Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.

Collection of your reserved vehicle
A vehicle pertaining to any reservation will be reserved for a maximum of 6 hours from its collection due date/time. Any collection after the mentioned 6 hours will be subject to availability.

Repairs and Maintenance
All repairs and maintenance must be carried out only at AVIS workshops. Customer is fully liable for all damages and additional costs in case of own repair, changing parts of the vehicle or maintenance.
Use of the rented vehicle
AVIS vehicles are to be used for non-commercial passenger transportation only. Valet charges will apply for pet’s transportation or misuse of the vehicle. Only authorized drivers, stated on the rental agreement are allowed to drive an AVIS vehicle.
Additional Driver Policy
This is subject to Avis UAE driver qualification and will be charged at AED 20.00 per day, AED 105.00 per week up to a maximum of AED 150.00 per contract.
After Hours Information
This is subject to AVIS downtown locations which are not open 24 hours. For drop-off out of opening hours, the vehicle should be returned to any of the Avis Airport offices which are open 24 hours.
The renter can request for a car collection as per Collection terms at extra cost based on location.
Age Requirements
Minimum age is 21 years old for groups A-E, J-L. For all other car groups minimum age is 25 years. There is no maximum age limit.
Cancellations/No Shows
If you cancel your booking 72 hours prior to your vehicle pick up date/time no cancellation charges will apply and the amount will be refunded.
If you cancel your reservation within 72 hours prior to the rental pick up date/time
shown in your booking, a fixed cancellation fee, similar 3-day rental amount will be
applied.
Same condition will apply for reservations made and cancelled within 72 hours of the rental pick up date/time.
If you have rented for less than 3 days, no refund will be applicable.
There is no refund if the Renter fails to show up for a rental that has not been cancelled prior to the pick-up date/time.
Collecting and Returning Your Vehicle
The minimum rental period is one day (24 hours) with a maximum grace period of 29 minutes from the elapse of the term agreed. In the event of the late return of vehicle exceeding the grace period, AVIS UAE reserves the right to make an additional daily charge at the prevailing rate, including fees for the options taken for each day.

Early Returns
There will be no refund for unused rental days on a Prepaid/Pay on Arrival Rental, once the rental has started.
If you return the vehicle and any optional extras early, you will lose the benefit of any special offers if you no longer meet the requirements. This may result in the rental costing you more.

Informations générales
Taxe: Une TVA de 5 % s’appliquera sur toutes les factures relatives aux locations et services connexes générés à partir du 1er janvier 2018 ou à toute partie d’un service ou d’une facture effectuée à compter de cette date, indépendamment de la date de confirmation de réservation.
Système de péage (SALIK) : Les frais de péage sont de 6 AED par passage.

Surtaxe d'aéroport

Informations diverses
Frais de voiturier
Des frais de nettoyage seront appliqués si le véhicule est retourné dans un état qui nécessite un nettoyage spécialisé (exemple : particules de sable ou de boue présentes dans la voiture, poils d’animaux sur les sièges, thé, café, ou tout autre article comestible tachant les sièges d’auto et l’intérieur, etc.), Les frais seraient estimés par l’atelier en fonction de la main-d’œuvre et des coûts de matériaux requis, et les frais de nettoyage minimum seraient de 250 AED. Si la voiture est restituée avec un extérieur extrêmement sale, des frais de voiturier de 50 AED seront facturés.
Frais de service de remplacement de pneus
Un supplément de 100 AED sera facturé, en plus des frais de réparation de dommages ou de toute franchise applicable, ainsi que les frais d'administration.
Retrait de films colorés
Des frais d'enlèvement de films colorés de 100 AED seront facturés si le véhicule de location est restitué avec des films colorés sur les vitres.
Les véhicules de location ne peuvent avoir de films colorés sur les fenêtres comme précisé dans la loi des ÉAU. Le locataire est susceptible de supporter des frais d'amende et d'administration dans le cas où un film teinté est placé sur le véhicule loué.
Frais de véhicules flotte sans fumée
Avis exploite une flotte sans fumée. Les véhicules restitués avec une odeur de fumée ou inacceptable nécessiteront un service de voiturier complet et, par conséquent, des frais de 500 AED seront facturés au client.
Frais de service d'accident
Des frais de 75 AED par accident seront facturés, en tant que frais de gestion de sinistre, en plus des frais de réparation de dommages ou de toute franchise applicable, ainsi que des frais d’administration.
Documentation obligatoire
Les documents suivants sont obligatoires pour louer un véhicule à AVIS UAE et doivent être présentés physiquement au comptoir,
- Passeport et pièce d’identité Émirats valides.
- Documents d’entrée/Visa valides (timbre d’entrée des ÉAU ou page visa).
- Permis de conduire valide délivré au moins un an avant la date de prise en charge de la location.
- Permis de conduire international valide, le cas échéant, pour les locataires qui sont en visite aux Émirats arabes unis/visa de tourisme avec permis de conduire local.
- Carte de crédit valide au nom du locataire pour le dépôt de garantie avec une validité minimale de 3 mois à compter de la date de début de la location.
Important : Pour les locataires qui optent pour la livraison, les documents susmentionnés doivent être
envoyés par courriel à customerservice@avisuae.ae au moins deux heures avant la livraison prévue.
Droit de refuser
AVIS UAE se réserve le droit de refuser la voiture à tout client pour quelque raison que ce soit, y compris, mais sans s’y limiter :
- Qui n’arrive pas à temps ou ne produit pas les documents physiques obligatoires et une carte de crédit valide avec suffisamment de fonds disponibles pour le dépôt de garantie/les paiements.
- Les clients sous l’influence de l’alcool, de drogues hallucinatoires, de narcotiques, de barbituriques ou de toute autre substance qui nuit à leur conscience ou à leur capacité à réagir
- Comportement abusif à l’égard du véhicule ou de l’actif/des employés de l’entreprise
Dans ce cas, sauf si la location a été annulée à l'avance, le client n'aura pas droit à un remboursement.
Locations en aller simple
Des frais de restitution d’un aller simple sont applicables lorsque vous louez un véhicule dans un émirat/ville et que vous le restituez dans un autre émirat/ville des Émirats arabes unis (EAU). Les frais dépendent du type de véhicule loué et de la limite de la ville.
- Entre les Émirats, cela dépend de la catégorie du véhicule : minimum 200 AED et maximum 300 AED.
- Les véhicules ne peuvent pas être conduits ou restitués à l'extérieur des Émirats Arabes Unis sans l’accord préalable d’AVIS UAE.

Fines and charges | Traffic Violations Drivers are expected to abide with the traffic rules and regulations. For every traffic fine a surcharge of AED 50 is applicable, over and above the traffic fine as a handling administration fee. If a traffic offence attributable to the vehicle to be impounded by the authorities during the rental, AVIS UAE will ensure that necessary fines are paid to avoid such an impound. The applicable impounding charges will be recovered from the Renter. All ancillary costs generated 30 days from the closing of the agreement will be recovered automatically from the Renter’s credit card without any notification. |
Automated parking fees at different POIs in the UAE | Applicable at any parking facility where billing is linked to the vehicle's license plate or toll tag. Conduire le véhicule à l'extérieur du pays
Locations transfrontalières - Oman uniquement
Les véhicules sont autorisés à sortir des Émirats arabes unis à Oman strictement via des réservations effectuées auprès du centre d’appels AVIS UAE avec préavis de 72 heures.
Les locations transfrontalières sont soumises à une limitation/un plafond de kilométrage de 250 km par jour et à un supplément pour kilométrage excédentaire de 1 AED par kilomètre, indépendamment des conditions de kilométrage ouvertes spécifiées dans les conditions de location nationales et de réservation en ligne.
La confirmation est soumise à l’approbation de l’assurance et à la disponibilité de la flotte. Le certificat original de non-objection (CNO) et l’assurance Oman doivent être collectés auprès des agences de location AVIS UAE et attribuées pour vérification à la frontière. AVIS UAE ne sera pas responsable de toute charge ou compensation pour les restrictions transfrontalières des autorités.
Avis n’est pas responsable des refus à la frontière en raison de restrictions transfrontalières et territoriales. Seuls des postes frontaliers déterminés autorisent l’entrée des touristes ouo des expatriés et des véhicules de location.

- 1 à 3 jours - 450 AED, 100 AED pour les jours supplémentaires
- 1 semaine - 750 AED, 100 AED pour les jours supplémentaires
- 1 mois - 1 500 AED, 100 AED pour les jours supplémentaires
Catégories K, M, N et L
- 1 à 3 jours - 650 AED, 125 AED pour les jours supplémentaires
- 1 semaine - 1 100 AED, 125 AED pour les jours supplémentaires
- 1 mois - 2 000 AED, 125 AED pour les jours supplémentaires
Options d'exonération et de protection
Les options d’exonération et d’assurance ne couvrent pas les actes de sabotage, terrorisme, inondation, tempête, ouragan, éruption volcanique, tremblement de terre ou autres soubresauts de la nature, invasion d'ennemis étrangers, hostilités ou opérations de guerre que la guerre soit déclarée ou non, grève, émeute, troubles civils, mutinerie, rébellion, révolution insurrection armée ou pouvoir usurpé, confiscation ou nationalisation, conduite imprudente et en état d'ébriété (sous l'influence de l'alcool ou de toute autre substance).
En cas d'accident, la loi des EAU stipule qu'il ne faut pas déplacer le véhicule dans le cas d'un accident tant qu'un rapport de police/constat n’est pas obtenu. Cette omission pourrait en résulter que le locataire soit responsable des dommages. Un rapport de police est obligatoire pour que les assurances (ACF, SACF, Assurance responsabilité civile automobile, assurance individuelle accidents (AIA) ) soient couvertes. La conduite hors route n'est pas couverte par l'assurance, le locataire est entièrement responsable des dommages et des coûts supplémentaires.
Assurance collision sans franchise (ACF)
Il s'agit d'une franchise obligatoire. Le locataire sera responsable de tout montant excédentaire entre 1 500 et 5 000 AED. Si le locataire est refusé, pour quelque raion que ce soit, il sera responsable de l'entier montant des dommages. Des conditions s'appliquent. Les frais dépendent du type de véhicule loué. En cas d'accidents et de dommages supplémentaires, un rapport de police doit être obtenu en contactant les autorités locales.
La limitation de responsabilité s'applique aux dommages causés au véhicule de location, à ses pièces et à ses accessoires lors d'un accident de la route. L'ACF limite la responsabilité financière du locataire au montant excédentaire indiqué sur le contrat de location. Dans l'un ou l'autre des cas, l'ACF NE COUVRE PAS les dommages si le véhicule a été conduit par un conducteur non autorisé ou par un conducteur autorisé sous l'influence de l'alcool ou de la drogue, des dommages à l'intérieur du véhicule, des dommages aux pneus et aux roues, sous le véhicule, des clés brisées ou perdues, documents automobiles perdus ou endommagés, contamination de l'essence, soit en cas d'intention délibérée ou de négligence.
SACF (super assurance-collision sans franchise)
Il s'agit d'une assurance facultative souscrite en plus de l'assurance-collision sans franchise (ACF). En acceptant cela, le locataire réduit la responsabilité à l'égard des dommages au véhicule à ZÉRO.
Des conditions s'appliquent. Les frais dépendent du type de véhicule loué. Le rapport de police doit être obtenu en contactant les autorités locales. Dans l'un ou l'autre des cas, le Super ACF (SACF) NE COUVRE PAS les dommages si le véhicule a été conduit par un conducteur non autorisé ou par un conducteur autorisé sous l'influence de l'alcool ou de drogues, des dommages à l'intérieur du véhicule, du pare-brise, des pneus et des jantes, des dommages au-dessous du véhicule, une clé brisée ou perdue, des documents automobiles perdus ou endommagés, la contamination de l'essence, soit en cas d'intention délibérée ou de négligence.
AIA (Assurance individuelle accidents)
Il s'agit d'une assurance facultative pour le conducteur et les passagers, en cas de décès ou de blessure corporelle dans le véhicule pendant la location. Des conditions s'appliquent.
Les exclusions comprennent :
Automutilation intentionnelle/tentative de suicide, malformation physique/mentale ou infirmité
Un accident qui se produit alors que le conducteur est sous l’empire d’alcool ou de drogues enivrantes.
Le nombre de passagers (y compris le conducteur) ne doit pas dépasser le nombre de places assises
indiqué dans la politique au moment de l’accident.
Diya (prix du sang) sera décidé par un tribunal en fonction de l’incident.
Les demandes d'indemnité sont sujettes à l'approbation des ÉAU.
ADPBSF (Assurance dommages pare-brise sans franchise)
Il s'agit d'une option de couverture qui couvre les dommages causés au pare-brise de notre véhicule (vitres avant, arrière et latérales uniquement). Des conditions s'appliquent.
RSR (Réseau de sécurité routière)
Il s'agit d'une option de couverture qui couvre toute panne non mécanique pendant que le client a le véhicule. Le réseau de sécurité routière est une couverture qui vise à aider le client pour les services pendant qu'il est sur la route ou pendant la durée de la location. Services inclus : Remorquage, remplacement des pneus crevés, déverrouillages, plein de carburant, remplacement de clés perdues, démarrage par batterie d’appoint (batterie déchargée). Ce produit n'inclut pas la couverture pour négligence, lorsque le client n'a pas fait le plein du véhicule avec le bon type d’essence vs sans-plomb et a causé des dommages au véhicule. Nous remorquerons le véhicule, mais les dommages au moteur ne sont pas couverts.
CP (Couverture des pneus)
C'est une option de couverture qui couvre les pneus plats ou endommagés. Le client ne paiera pas de frais de pneu. Des conditions s'appliquent.
