The renter is responsible for all damage charges in the following situations whether excess reduction is purchased or not:

- Damage from driving on non-tarmac roads.
- Negligence or breach of the Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions or the laws of the Cook Islands.
Excess (insurance) does not cover the renters personal property within the vehicle or injury or harm to the renter or passengers.
