The Norwegian capital sits on the waterfront of the Oslofjord, surrounded by epic nature and dramatic mountainscapes. Drøbak

22 miles south of Oslo, Drøbak is a great place to spend the day. Nature here is lush and green, with idyllic sandy beaches and a lively harbour town which is famous for its fresh seafood and markets. In Drøbak you will also find there are lots of festivals and cultural events that will pique your curiosity.

Karlstad

From Oslo you can even drive over the border into Sweden to visit the city of Karlstad. The capital of Värmland County, it is said “the sun always shines” here. While that may not always be the case, this picturesque town, which hugs the shores of the Klarälven River, has plenty of charm and will make a great stop on your itinerary.
