Rental vehicle must be returned during office hours.
NOTE: Some locations may have a key drop available:
Drop Box Available: If the customer chooses to leave the vehicle, the customer is responsible for the vehicle & all charges (including any damages or theft of the vehicle may have incurred during after hours) until the contract can be closed on the following business day.
Drop Box NOT Available: If the location does not have a key drop box, the location does not permit vehicles to be left after closing hours. The customer should never lock or leave the keys inside the car. The customer is responsible for the vehicle & all charges (including any damages to or theft of the vehicle and locksmith fees if they choose to lock the keys in the car). The customer can either choose to return the car the next day the location is open OR change the Drop Off Location to the nearest Regional Airport. Customer is responsible for all charges related to the drop-off modification.

At Avis Bonaire, we offer two types of insurance to protect customers in case of collision with the rental vehicle.
Insurance Coverage Deductible
PDW (Partial Damage Waiver): Deductible is 650.00 USD
LDW (Loss Damage Waiver): Zero Deductible
No Insurance: Customer is responsible for all damage costs.
Insurance Details:
• PDW (Partial Damage Waiver): In case of collision or damage to the vehicle, the customer must pay a deductible of $650.00 USD taxes.
• LDW (Loss Damage Waiver): In case of collision or damage to the vehicle, the customer will not have to pay any deductible.
• No Insurance Taken: If the customer does not purchase any insurance, they will be fully responsible for all costs incurred in case of damage to the vehicle.
Important Notes:
1. PDW and LDW DO NOT cover:
o Tires, rims, windows, and keys.
o Vandalism (theft of personal belongings).
o Damage caused by refueling with the wrong type of fuel.
2. In case of a collision, the vehicle MUST be immediately immobilized, and the Road Service must be called to make the official accident report. The accident scene must not be altered. If these rules are not followed, the insurance will become invalid.
3. The insurance may not apply if the driver is found to be under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or engaging in reckless driving.
Note: If you require additional insurance coverage you may purchase locally to reduce/remove the insurance excess. Just ask at the Avis rental desk when you collect your car.
