AFTER -HOURS RETURNS: Not applicable.
The Avis counter is in the terminal and is open 24 hours daily. Customer should drop the car off at the office in front of the terminal parking lot. An Avis shuttle bus will deliver the customer to the terminal. Remember to take your personal belongings with you.
AIRLINE PASSENGER: Cancun Intl Airport has 4 terminals, a counter is available in each terminal.
National or Domestic: Terminals 2 & 4 are located near baggage claim and fully visible.
International Terminals 2 & 3: Go to the Customers Inspection area. Once inspected, the customer can leave through the insulated door and go immediately to the car rental counter.
Terminal 4: Go to the Customers Inspection area. Once inspected, the customer can leave through the insulated door and go to baggage claim area for domestic flights to the car rental counter.
FBO: Service to the private terminal is available at the main terminal. Note: tail number and name of private terminal in reservation. The customer will be picked up and taken to the location for checkout.
RETURNS: The area of delivery and return is within the property of the airport for car rental companies. It is in the main road in front of Terminal 2. A shuttle is available to take customers to the airport. No shuttle fee.
RENT-A-CAR AND FUN/LUXURY CAR AND 4X4 LOCATION
Follow signs to the baggage claim area. Proceed outside to the Avis courtesy bus, identify yourself as a Preferred Renter, and the bus driver will take you to your pre-assigned car.

Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) is optional.
LDW is not available on following car groups J, XC, XG, XH, XI, XK. It is mandatory for customer to take PDW (Partial Damage Waiver)
Available at all locations and varies depending on car group rented.
Our Recommendation to all our customers will always be to acquire our 100 percent waiver protection (LDW). This is an optional product. It releases the renter of all financial responsibility in the case of an accident or theft. This is our most complete coverage product.
LDW does not include the cost of replacing lost license plates or keys, tow services, police fines, rims, tires and wind shields.. Client must follow all driving conditions stated in our terms of service clauses, any infractions to the stated conditions voids this coverage.
If LDW is declined, the renter is fully responsible for the full value of the Avis vehicle, in addition to stolen accessories, repairs and loss of use during repairs. An additional charge card hold will apply. The customer must sign an "Acknowledgement of Responsibility".
Theft Protection (TP) is included with the purchase of LDW.
PDW (Partial Damage Waiver) - Available at the counter. Check at the rental counter for additional details.
PDW is mandatory for the following car groups J, XC, XG, XH, XI, XK.
PDW reduces the customers financial responsibility for damage to or loss of the Avis vehicle as a result of an accident or theft.
Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles. The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental. The customer will be totally responsible for handling coverage with the card issuer for any damage or theft of the Avis vehicle. Any waiver must be discussed with the location upon arrival.
