Pick-up Service Available
To use our free pick-up service, call your A rental location directly at the location phone number listed on your reservation confirmation. Pick-up service policies (hours of availability, allowable pick-up distance, etc.) vary by location so it's important that you call the location and make arrangements for pick-up at least 24 hours before your desired rental time. When you call the location, be ready to provide all applicable information including precise address, exact time of pick up, and a phone number where you can be reached at that time.
Please note that an off-airport Budget location cannot pick you up at an airport that has a Budget location. In this case, either you must rent your car at the airport location, or provide your own transportation to the off-airport location where you prefer to rent

Debit Card Policies
We accept Visa Debit cards and Mastercard Debit cards. We don¿t accept Maestro, Electron or any pre-paid cards, even if they carry the Visa or Mastercard logo.
Drivers License
Must be issued at least 12 months prior to rental. Avis Greece can accept a National Driving License if the driver holds a valid driving license from: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland & United Kingdom.

Prestige Rentals
The driving license must be issued: 1 year for car group A and 5 years for all car groups. The driver must hold a driving license issued from the European Union, or an International driving license.
Public Liability and Property Damage
Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country. Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.
Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles. The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental. Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.

After Hours Information:
If the renter wants to pick-up a car during out of office hours, he must request this at the time of reservation. The charge for out of hours service is EUR 23 excluding VAT.
Prestige Fleet
If the renter wants to pick-up a car during out of office hours, he must request this at the time of reservation. The charge for out of hours service is EUR 30 excluding VAT.

Outside Office Hours Fee For Avis Prestige Rentals
There is a 30.00 EUR fee excl. VAT for rentals outside office hours or when the location is closed.
Age Requirements
At this location the minimum age is 21 for all car groups, except for the following: minimum age is 25 for car groups H, J (4 Wheel Drive), M, O and P (Luxury), and L (Full Size Van). A Young Driver fee will apply to drivers between the ages of 21 and 24. The Young Driver fee of 10.00 EUR per day per driver, with a maximum 10 day fee of 100.00 EUR per rental per driver. There is no upper age limit as long as there is a valid driving license.
For Avis Prestige renter and driver must be 25 years old for car group A and 30 years old for all other car groups.
Collecting and Returning Your Vehicle
Change of Return Location
The return of the car to a location different to the one of car pick up, is allowed with an extra charge.
Fuel Policy
Payment Options
A payment card (Visa, Euro/Master Card, Amex, Diners or Avis issued charge card) is required for all rentals. For car groups P and H two payment cards must be submitted (at least one of them must be Credit Card), even if renter finally pays in cash. However, you do not need your credit card in order to make a booking online! We only request to know what type of credit card you are going to use at the actual time of rental.
Renter must use a payment card (credit or debit) at the time of rental in his or her own name.

CREDIT or DEBIT CARD HOLD: The estimated amount of the rental plus up to 200 Euro for small and medium car groups (A, B, C, N, D, E, F, G, I) and 300 Euro for large and luxury cars (J, K, L, M, O, P, H) will be authorized against your credit/debit card at the time of rental. This amount will no longer be available for your immediate use and may take up to 14 days, depending on your bank, to become available. We will not be responsible for any returned check(s) or insufficient fund charges or bank fees related to this process.
Avis Prestige Fleet
A payment card is required for all rentals as a guarantee. For car groups D, E, F, G, H, N & O two payment cards must be submitted, one of which must be a credit one. Cash is not allowed
Travel Into Other Countries

1) Third Party Cover
Also known as: Motor Liability Insurance, Legal Liability Insurance
What's covered?
Covers third parties in case of death or body injuries, including passengers (except the driver of the Avis vehicle), when using the Avis vehicle up to Euro 1.300.000 and material damages to third parties up to Euro 1.300.000.
What's not covered?
Theft or attempted theft of the vehicle.
Theft of personal belongings from the vehicle.
Death or injury to the driver.
Damage to the rental vehicle.

2) Collision Damage Cover
Also known as: LDW in Australia-NZ-USA, Vehicle Damage Waiver, CDW
What's covered?
If the rental car is damaged by a car accident or fire, you will be covered for the cost of the repairs of the Avis vehicle. You will, however have to pay an excess up to Euro 900 for car groups A, B, I & N, Euro 1100 for car groups D, E, F & G, Euro 1.350 for car groups C, J, K, M & O and Euro 2.000 for car groups H, L & P towards the repair costs, storage charges and loss of use, regardless of whether you were at fault or not. However, if we can recover these costs from a responsible third party, we will reimburse you.

Damage caused as a result of a breach of the rental agreement's terms and conditions.
Damage caused as a result of fire, acts of God and terrorist attacks.

4) Vehicle Theft Cover

What's covered?
It covers the cost of replacing the rental car (or parts of it) if it gets stolen. You may have to pay an excess, which varies by country, so you are asked to check the Terms & Conditions of the selected country at the time of booking. In Greece you will have to pay an excess up to Euro 900 for car groups A, B, I & N, Euro 1100 for car groups D, E, F & G, Euro 1.350 for car groups C, I, J, K, M & O and Euro 2.000 for car groups H, L & P.
What's not covered?
Negligence regarding loading of a vehicle (e.g. car unsupervised) or keys safe keeping (e.g. left in ignition).
