Once you land, continue to arrivals and turn left outside the terminal. Walk under two glass covered walkways towards the car rental park. We’ll be waiting on the left.

Aberdeen Airport is in the suburb of Dyce, a short drive of 5 miles from Aberdeen city centre. Aberdeen city has a host of attractions to enjoy, including historic breweries, ancient castles and scenic reserves.

If you’re only in town for a night or two we’d recommend taking the time to visit either Crathes Castle, Haddo House or Balmoral, which are all a short drive from the city. If you’re there for longer, why not enjoy a road trip to nearby Dundee or Inverness.

Where to go from Aberdeen Airport

Aberdeen to Balmoral

Balmoral Castle is a private residence of The Queen and the Royal Family, and with its decadent beauty and stunning surroundings, it’s really not hard to see why this was chosen as their home away from home.

Driving there from Aberdeen Airport couldn’t be easier; it’s a lovely 90-minute ride from Aberdeen and we would recommend stopping off along the way to take in the incredible scenery.

Once at Balmoral you’ll know why the Royals love it so much. The beautiful gardens, the architecture and stately rooms all combine to make Balmoral one of the best attractions in the whole of Scotland.

Aberdeen to Dundee

This route is known as the Angus Coastal Route. Starting at Aberdeen, head south and you’ll be greeted with breathtaking views of bonny Scotland. Along the way stop off at any one of the picturesque seaside towns such as Broughty Ferry, often referred to as the ‘jewel in Dundee’s crown’, a beautiful, sleepy seaside town and a great place to get away from it all.
