Optional Coverages
Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) is optional (taxable)
Customer is liable for the full value of the Avis vehicle if Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) is not taken. If LDW is purchased, the renter's liability is $1,000.00.
Note: If you require additional insurance coverage you may purchase locally to reduce/remove the insurance excess. Just ask at the Avis rental desk when you collect your car.
Global insurance coverages are always subject to change. Please verify at time of rental.
Credit Card Policies
Avis Dominica accepted American Express, Diners Club, Discover, Mastcard and Visa. An additional charge card hold will apply. The hold will be the estimated rental charges plus 1,000.00 USD for car groups A, B and C or 500.00 USD for all other car groups.
Debit Card Policies
Debit cards are not accepted.
Driver's License Requirements
Valid driver's license from country of residence is required. International driving license is required only for countries with non-Roman alphabet. International driving license is a translation only. A local permit is required and issued at the counter at a cost of 12.00 USD which is payable to the police authority.

Public Liability and Property Damage
Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country. Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.
Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles. The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental. Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.
Age Requirements
At this location the minimum age to rent is 25 years for all car groups, maximum age to rent is 69 years.
Estimated Totals
Approximate total includes base rate, taxes, and surcharges. Items such as coupon discounts, child safety seats, temporary drivers permit and gas are NOT included in the estimated total. Optional coverages and one-way fees are subject to tax in certain locations. This tax is not reflected in the Estimated Total.
