Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is optional
Customer is liable for the full value of the Avis vehicle if Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is not taken. If CDW is purchased, the renter's liability is reduced to an amount of 500.00 USD
Theft Protection (TP) is optional
Customer is liable for the full value of the Avis vehicle if Theft Protection (TP) is not taken. If TP is purchased, the renter's liability is reduced to an amount of 500.00 USD
Note: If you require additional insurance coverage you may purchase locally to reduce/remove the insurance excess. Just ask at the Avis rental desk when you collect your car.

Credit Card Policies
Avis Thailand accepts Avis Charge Cards, Japan Credit Bureau, Mastercard, Visa.
Must present two valid credit cards upon pick-up (debit cards are not accepted). Credit cards having an expiry date less than 1 month after the return date of vehicle drop-off are not accepted.
A refundable deposit of $300 USD is required upon collection of the vehicle. Deposit will be refunded in full if car is returned in the same condition as it was at pick up.

Drivers License
In the case of self-drive customers must bring a Burmese or Asean Drivers License, otherwise bring along 8 passport photos upon pick-up to apply for Burmese Drivers License. An additional charge is applied to drivers with less than 3 years of driving experience based on the date the person obtained their drivers license. An international drivers license is required in the case of self-drive for each person with the intention to drive the rental vehicle, along with 8 passport photos.
Public Liability and Property Damage
Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country. Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.
Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles. The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental. Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.
