Renter Requirements

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is optional
Renter will be liable for full cost of vehicle if Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is not purchased. If CDW is purchased, the renter's liability will be reduced to MUR 20,000 to 30,000.
Theft Protection (TP) is optional
Renter will be liable for the full value of the Avis vehicle if Theft Protection (TP) is not purchased. Customer is liable for the first MUR 25,000 for theft of the Avis vehicle. If TP is purchased the renter's liability will be reduced to MUR 18,000 to 21,000.
Damage to tires, rim and under carriage of cars are not covered by insurance and is therefore the responsibility of the hirer.
Global insurance coverages are always subject to change. Please verify at time of rental.
Note: If you require additional insurance coverage you may purchase locally to reduce/remove the insurance excess. Just ask at the Avis rental desk when you collect your car.
