Quels produits réduisent le montant que je dois payer si le véhicule est endommagé pendant la location?
Si vous avez souscrit à l’assurance collision sans franchise (ACF) et que le véhicule, les clés, les accessoires ou les documents du véhicule sont endommagés, le montant que vous devez payer pour les dommages sera réduit à la franchise indiquée sur votre contrat de location, ce qui signifie que vous paierez les frais de réparation ou de remplacement, plus des frais de gestion de sinistre de 10 % des dommages ou le surplus, le montant inférieur prévalant. Si vous pouvez prouver que vous n'étiez pas de tout responsable des dommages ou que les dommages n'étaient pas dus à la négligence, nous vous rembourserons ces frais.

Avis Albania accepte la carte de crédit Avis, American Express, les cartes de crédit et cartes de débit Mastercard, la carte de crédit Visa, y compris les cartes Visa Electron.

Nous n’acceptons pas les cartes Maestro, Discovery, Cirrus, JCB, les cartes prépayées, même si le logo Visa ou Mastercard figure dessus, ou toute autre carte ne figurant pas dans la liste ci-dessus.

Requirement to bring a valid driving licence with you.

In Albania, all drivers must bring their valid driving licence with them.

If any of the following applies:

• their driving licence was issued in Europe or a non-European,
• their driving licence was issued in a non-roman alphabet language like Arabic, Greek, Russian, Hebrew, or Japanese ect,

and we cannot confirm with certainty the details included within the driving licence, the driver will also need to provide either an international driving licence or an official English translation, by a notary, of their driving licence. If this might apply to you, please contact us (prior to your pickup date) as we would be pleased to confirm if an international licence or official translation will be required.

Minimum licence requirements

All drivers must have held their licences for at least 2 years from the date of pick-up.

If a licence does not show the driver has held it for the minimum period, then they must provide evidence, such as:

• previous driving licences; or
• a letter from their driving licence authority stating that they have held it for this minimum period.

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) is available for purchase at the time of rental.

Covers driver and passengers in the Avis vehicle for up to $20,000.00 USD per person.

The customer must request conditions, rates and acceptance at the time of checkout.

Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country.  Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.

Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles.  The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental.  Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.

Minimum driver age restrictions

When you book, you'll be told if there are any minimum age restrictions for the vehicle you request. If you're not sure, please check your booking confirmation email or call our customer support team.

You need to be minimum age is 21 years old to hire and drive most of our vehicles.

Maximum driver age restrictions
When you book, you'll be told if there are any maximum age restrictions for the vehicle you request. If you're not sure, please check your booking confirmation email or call the reservations team.

In most cases there is no maximum driver age restriction. If you are renting with one of our affiliates listed in 1. (Rental Provider) there may be a maximum driver age set at either 75 years of age for insurance reasons.

Fuel Up Front - this is charged at the average fuel price for Albania at the start of your rental period. This is only available where you have added it as an option at booking stage or asked to add it to your rental prior to you collecting the vehicle. If you have added this option, the cost will be on your Rental Agreement Form. However, you don't get a refund for any fuel you don't use.

Pay on Return - If you are renting a "connected car", you will be required to pay for fuel so as to ensure that the vehicle has the same amount as when you collected it (this is automatically logged and is calculated to the nearest litre). If you are renting any other traditional fuel or hybrid vehicle, you will be required to pay for fuel so as to ensure that the vehicle has the same amount as when you collected it based on the factory-installed fuel gauge rounded down to the nearest eighth (1/8) of a tank (costs are based on the manufacturer's stated fuel tank capacity).

We charge a fixed amount dependent on the battery life showing on the factory-installed battery gauge. This is the "Pay on Return" rate. The amounts charged are set out below:

* Unless the vehicle had less than 70% battery charge when you collected it, in which case, you must return it with at least the same % battery charge as it had at time of pick-up in order for no additional costs to be applied.

What countries am I allowed to take the vehicle to?
You are only allowed to use the vehicle in the following countries:
Austria, Bulgaria, Channel Islands Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Romania, Slovak Republic,Slovenia, Switzerland.
Can I buy a product to allow me to drive in other countries?
Yes, you can buy the Cross Border Fee at Avis Albania counter desk.
