Exoneración en caso de pérdida o daños (LDW)
La compra de una cobertura de LDW libera a los clientes de la responsabilidad financiera por el daño causado al vehículo de Avis en caso de robo, hurto, incendio, colisión o accidente y pérdida total del vehículo. EXCEPCION: LDW no está disponibles para los grupos de vehículos F, K, M, N y X.
Si se rechaza la LDW, el cliente es responsable del valor total del vehículo.
Protección contra robo (TP)
La cobertura contra robo incluida es hasta el valor del vehículo. Sin embargo, la cobertura contra robo no cubre los accesorios robados (radio, tapacubos, etc.).
Exoneración en caso de daños por colisión (CDW)
Si está incluida en las tarifas, la cobertura CDW reduce la responsabilidad financiera del cliente por el daño ocasionado al vehículo de Avis en caso de robo, hurto, incendio, colisión o accidente y pérdida total del vehículo. El deducible para los grupos de vehículos B, D, E, G, J y O es 1,000.00 USD; para los grupos de vehículos F, K y M es 2,000.00 USD, y para los grupos de vehículos N y X es 3,000.00 USD.

Avis accepts Avis Charge Cards, American Express, Diner's Club, MasterCard and Visa. The following local charge cards are also accepted: Credisol, Oca Card, & Plata Card. At the time of rental, there will be a charge card hold which varies depending on the car group rented. If LDW is purchased, the charge card hold is the estimated rental charges. If CDW is included in the rate, the charge card hold is the estimated rental charges plus the deductible, ranging from 1,000.00 USD to 3,000.00 USD depending on car group rented. If the customer presented a prepaid voucher, the charge card hold is the deductible only. If none of the coverages are purchased, the charge card hold is 3,000.00 USD to 5,000.00 USD depending on car group rented.
Note: Mastercard, Visa Classic and Diners Club damage waiver is not accepted in Uruguay.
Debit cards are not accepted.
At the time of rental, the driver must present a valid drivers license in the drivers name from their country of residence. All foreign visitors must also present an International Driving Permit (IDP) to serve as a translation in addition to their valid drivers license.

Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country. Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.
Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles. The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental. Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.
