Drop Box Available: If the customer chooses to leave the vehicle, the customer is responsible for the vehicle & all charges (including any damages or theft of the vehicle may have incurred during after hours) until the contract can be closed on the following business day.
Drop Box NOT Available: If the location does not have a key drop box, the location does not permit vehicles to be left after closing hours. The customer should never lock or leave the keys inside the car. The customer is responsible for the vehicle & all charges (including any damages to or theft of the vehicle and locksmith fees if they choose to lock the keys in the car). The customer can either choose to return the car the next day the location is open OR change the Drop Off Location to the nearest Regional Airport. Customer is responsible for all charges related to the drop-off modification.
NORTH SYDNEY RETURNS
>To return your vehicle, you need to drive into the secure carpark.
>Entry is at 100 Miller Street just past Woolworths Metro
>Carpark is open 6am until 10pm 7 days a week, entry outside of these times may incur a $150 callout fee.
>Enter in on the left and the boom gate will automatically open. This takes note of time and date of return.
>Drive all the way down to level 1 unless instructed otherwise. Park your car in an AVIS space or in a single bay if too tight.
>Lock the vehicle. Use the lift to take the keys to the Avis office on level 7.
>After-hours returns is available during Carpark hours when the Avis office is closed. Drop box is located behind bay 24. Please park and place your key in the drop box (looks like a rubbish bin-but not for rubbish).

At the start of your rental, a hold will be placed on your credit/debit card for the total estimated rental charges plus an additional pre-authorization of up to $200 for all passenger and Signature Series vehicles and $400 for all commercial vehicles. You must use an approved payment card that is in your name and has enough funds available.
A pre-authorization holds an amount of money in your account.
