Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is Optional (taxable)
Depending on car group rented, customer is liable for an amount ranging between 10,000.00 EUR and 44,000.00 EUR if Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is not taken.  Purchase of CDW reduces liability to an amount between 800.00 EUR and 1,600.00 EUR depending on car group rented in the event of an accident to the Avis vehicle.

Theft Protection (TP) is Optional (taxable) 
Depending on car group rented, customer is liable for an amount ranging between 10,000.00 EUR and 44,000.00 EUR if Theft Protection (TP) is not taken.  Purchase of TP reduces liability to an amount between  800.00 EUR and 1,600.00 EUR depending on car group rented for theft of the Avis vehicle.

Note: In the case of damage or theft to the Avis vehicle a completed police accident form/theft certificate and the keys to the Avis car must be given to the Avis location.
If you require additional insurance coverage you may purchase locally to reduce/remove the insurance excess.  Just ask at the Avis rental desk when you collect your car.

Global insurance coverages are always subject to change. Please verify at time of rental.

At this location the minimum age is 21 for all car groups, except for the following: minimum age is 25 for car groups E (Full Size), F (Standard), G (Convertible), M, N and O (Vans). A Young Driver fee will apply to drivers under 25 years of age.  The Young Driver fee is 25.00 EUR per day per driver, with a maximum 10 day fee of 250.00 EUR per rental per driver. 

Avis France accepts Avis Charge Cards, American Express, Diners Club, Mastercard / Eurocard, Visa (except Kyriel, Maestro, Indigo, or Electron).

Debit cards are not accepted.

Some rental options,protections/coverages or additional fees/surcharges are subject to tax in certain locations and may not be reflected in the Estimated Total.

Please Note: Frequent Flyer surcharges may be applied at time of rental.

Extensions or late returns result in additional charges.

Approximate total includes base rate, taxes, and surcharges. Items such as coupon discounts, registration fee, child safety seats and gas are NOT included in the estimated total. Optional coverages and one-way fees are subject to tax in certain locations. This tax is not reflected in the Estimated Total.

Avis cars are permitted outside of France borders except for the following restrictions:

Cross border rentals allowed into most European countries with all car groups except cross border rentals are NOT permitted into:

• Greece
• Turkey
• Eastern Europe
• Commonwealth of Independent States
• Baltic States 

United Kingdom/Republic of Ireland
Cars are permitted to travel into the U.K. as long as they are returned to the mainland.

Cars are not permitted to travel in to the Republic of Ireland.

Note: Cars are allowed to cross on the Chunnel.

Travel into Switzerland
All vehicles driving on Swiss highways must purchase a special tax sticker (Swiss Hwy. Sticker). Cost is 40.00 SFR and is available for purchase at the border crossings. Customer is subject to a fine of 100.00 SFR if caught without the sticker.

Other
Cars are allowed to travel from mainland France to Corsica or Sardinia, provided they are returned to the mainland. The insurance is valid on the islands; however if the car breaks down, a vehicle exchange will not be provided.
