Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) is optional
Purchase relieves customers financial responsibility for damage to or loss of the Avis vehicle as a result of an accident or theft. This coverage does not include loss of license plates, tow service, fines and loss of keys. If declined, the renter will be liable for the full value of the Avis vehicle.  Note: If LDW, is declined an additional charge card hold will apply on specialty car groups.

Theft Protection (TP) is included with the purchase of LDW.

Global insurance coverages are always subject to change. Please verify at time of rental.

Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles. The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental. The customer will be totally responsible for handling coverage with the card issuer for any damage or theft of the Avis vehicle. Any waiver must be discussed with the location upon arrival.

Note: If you require additional insurance coverage you may purchase locally to reduce/remove the insurance excess.  Just ask at the Avis rental desk when you collect your car.

At this location the minimum age is 21 for all car groups.  An underage fee will apply for drivers 21-24 years of age.  Depending on car group rented, the cost is 60.00 MEP not to exceed 120.00 MEP per day.  

Avis accepts the Avis Charge Card, American Express, Discover Card, Japan Credit Bureau, MasterCard, Optima and Visa.  The charge card hold is the estimated cost of rental plus 30 percent for all car groups, except specialty premium and sport utility vehicles.  An additional fee will apply for the specific specialty car groups. Contact reservation center for additional details. Note: Credit cards without raised numbers are not accepted in Mexico.

Debit cards are not accepted.

Some rental options,protections/coverages or additional fees/surcharges are subject to tax in certain locations and may not be reflected in the Estimated Total.

Extensions or late returns result in additional charges.

For coupons used, dollars and days off have been deducted from the base rate (time and mileage) charges and is reflected in the approximate total. Paper coupons, however, may not be applied online and should be presented at the counter. Renter must meet age, driver and credit requirements. Minimum age may vary by location, and an additional daily surcharge may apply for renters under 25 years old. Fuel charges are extra. A Saturday night keep and advance reservation may be required.
