Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is Optional, except it is MANDATORY for renters under 25 years of age.
Purchase of CDW reduces renters financial responsibility (NWE) in case of damage to the Avis vehicle from accidents to an amount between 1,200.00 USD and 2,500.00 USD depending on car group rented. This coverage does not include loss of license plates, tow service, fines and loss of keys.  Client must follow all driving conditions stated in our terms of service clauses, any infractions to the stated conditions voids this coverage. If CDW is declined, the renter is fully responsible for the full value of the Avis vehicle, in addition to stolen accessories, repairs and loss of use during repairs.  An additional credit card hold will apply.

Theft Protection (TP) is included in the CDW. 

Note:  If you require additional insurance coverage you may purchase locally to reduce/remove the insurance excess.  Just ask at the Avis rental desk when you collect your car.

Avis El Salvador accepts Avis Charge Cards, American Express, Diners Club, Discover Card, Mastercard, Visa.  Credit card number, expiration date, and customers phone number required for SUV and Vans.  An additional charge card hold will apply.  Depending on car group the hold will range between 1,200.00 USD to 2,500.00 USD.

Debit cards are not accepted.

At the time of rentals, the driver must present a valid drivers license in the drivers name from their country of residence.  Customers presenting a drivers license in a non-Roman alphabet must also present an International Driving Permit (IDP) to serve as a translation in addition to their valid drivers license..

Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country.  Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.
