ALI - (Third Party Liability)
This is an “ADDITIONAL PROTECTION OF THIRD PARTY LIABILITY”. ALI covers all authorized drivers under the Rental Agreement of claims made by third parties by body injuries; death or damage to the property caused by the use or operation of an AVIS vehicle and increases the limits up to $300,000.00 according to the Terms and Condition of the Rental Agreement. When customer decline PDW or LDW and only purchase ALI, this protection will cover Third Party Liability up to $ 10,000.00.

Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) or Partial Damage Waiver (PDW) is optional

If LDW or PDW is not purchased, the customer is liable for the full value of the Avis vehicle.  Purchase of LDW provides coverage to the Avis vehicle in case of damage due to collision or theft provided that the customer complies with the rental agreement terms and conditions.  Purchase of PDW requires a deductible, liability for damage or theft is reduced to an amount ranging from 2,000 USD to 3,000 USD, depending on the car group rented.

Theft Protection (TP) is included with the purchase of LDW.

Additional Liability Insurance is optional.  ALI is an "Additional  protection of Third Party Liability" which covers all authorized drivers under the rental agreement of claims made by third parties for bodily injuries, death or damage to property and increases the limits up to 300,000.00 USD according to the terms and conditions of the rental agreement.  If LDW or PDW is decline this protection will only cover Third Party Liability up to 10,000.00 USD.

Note: If you require additional insurance coverage you may purchase locally to reduce/remove the insurance excess.  Just ask at the Avis rental desk when you collect your car.

Avis accepts American Express, MasterCard and Visa.  An additional charge card hold will apply for all car groups, of 300.00 USD to 5,000.00 USD, plus the total amount of rental, depending on protections customer accepts at the beginning of the rental.  For additional details, contact reservations. 

Debit cards are not accepted.

At the time of rental, the driver must present a valid drivers license in the drivers name from their country of residence.  The renters license is accepted for 90 days without additional requirements.  After 90 days, the renter will need to obtain a national license.  Customers presenting a drivers license in a non-Roman alphabet must also present an International Driving Permit (IDP) to serve as a translation in addition to their valid drivers license.  Check at the rental counter for additional details.

Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country.  Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.

Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles.  The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental.  Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.

At this location the minimum age for all car groups is 23 years of age with Avis, Mastercard, Visa or travel voucher supported by a charge card, 18 years of age for additional drivers when the main driver is 25 years of age or older and 25 years of age for all other renters.  There is no maximum age.  An underage fee of 5.00 USD will apply to all renters between the ages of 18-24.

After Hours Information:
If the renter wants to pick-up a car during out of office hours, he must request this at the time of reservation. The charge for out of hours service is EUR 23 excluding VAT.

Prestige Fleet
If the renter wants to pick-up a car during out of office hours, he must request this at the time of reservation. The charge for out of hours service is EUR 30 excluding VAT.

There is a 30.00 EUR fee excl. VAT for rentals outside office hours or when the location is closed.
