Nota: No se dispone de cobertura por por pérdida o daños por disturbios, o debido al incumplimiento de cualquiera de los términos y condiciones que se especifican en el contrato de alquiler.  Además de los costos de reparación de los daños o el exceso aplicable, se cobra un cargo de ZAR 415.00 como un gasto de administración y manejo de accidentes.  Si recibe una multa por infracción de tránsito, se aplicará un cargo de ZAR 325.00 adicionales a la multa de tránsito.

La Exoneración en caso de daños al parabrisas y los neumáticos (WTDW) es opcional. Este producto está disponible en la fecha de retiro del vehículo en la oficina de alquiler.  Esta cobertura incluye todos los vidrios y neumáticos del vehículo, incluidos los tapacubos y las llantas metálicas y de aleación.  Los grupos de vehículos A, B, C, D, E, P pagan ZAR 77.25 por día (incluye impuestos), los grupos de vehículos F a O pagan ZAR 87.25 por día (incluye impuestos).  La pérdida de neumáticos, llantas o tapacubos no está cubierta por la WTDW, pero estará incluida en la Exención de pérdida por robo.  No se aplican cargos de responsabilidad cuando se adquiere la WTDW.  Además, en caso de daños a terceros, la responsabilidad del cliente será cero. Sin embargo, si no se adquiere, el monto máximo de responsabilidad por neumáticos y vidrios será de ZAR 15000.00 y por daños a terceros será de ZAR 15000.00.

Nota:  Si requiere de cobertura adicional, puede adquirirla localmente para reducir/eliminar el monto de exceso del seguro.  Solicite más información en el mostrador de alquiler de Avis cuando pase a recoger su vehículo.

Car Groups F, G, H, I, J, K, L, N and O:
All customers (domestic and inbound), renting a Groups F, G, H, I, J, K, L, N and O , must present an additional Credit Card at check out. This second card must be a Credit Card. Preferred renters are not exempt from this rule. If a second credit card cannot be presented, the rental cannot take place.

Additional Charge Card Hold:  The card must display a Mastercard or Visa logo.  The numbers must be raised on the card with the words Credit Card reflected on the back or front of the card.  The estimated authorisation amount will be held on the account for the duration of the rental and charged on termination. The applicable charge card hold will vary per customer and is based on the estimated rental time and mileage (fuel, average mileage per day time rental days, insurance, one-way, plus any miscellaneous charges and fees).
Weekend rentals (Thursday anytime - Monday at 2359) will require an additional charge card hold / security deposit plus the standard additional charge card hold / security deposit . This will vary per customer and is based on the estimated rental time and mileage (fuel, average mileage per day time rental days, insurance, one-way, plus any miscellaneous charges and fees). 

Debit cards are not accepted.

At the time of rentals, the driver must present a valid drivers license in the drivers name from their country of residence.  Customers presenting a drivers license in a non-Roman alphabet must also present an International Driving Permit (IDP) to serve as a translation in addition to their valid drivers license..

Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country.  Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.

Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles.  The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental.  Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.

At this location the minimum age is 18 years for all car groups.  Young Driver Surcharge will apply for all drivers aged 25 and under.  A charge of ZAR 155.00 (incl. tax) per day. No maximum age limit however Super PAI is not available to persons over the age of 75.

Rates including unlimited mileages are not applicable to South African residents. To qualify for unlimited mileage rates, renters must produce an international passport and return airline ticket to their country of origin, South African renters can obtain quotes on www.avis.co.za.

No cross-border rentals are allowed from South Africa to Malawi, Angola or Zambia, even if returning to South Africa.

One-way cross border rentals into Zimbabwe and Mozambique are not permitted. Cross border rentals from South Africa into Mozambique and Zimbabwe are only permitted on condition that the rentals return to South Africa and authorization is optained from the Operations Executive.

Renters wishing to enter Botswana, Namibia, Swaziland, Lesotho must be in possession of a letter of authority obtainable from an Avis location at time of rental. If this is not obtained, the customer will be refused entry. An additional ZAR 2250.00 (incl tax) will be charged for cross border rentals (excluding Swaziland and Lesotho).
Cross border fee for Eswatini and Lesotho: ZAR 800.00 (incl tax).
Cross border to Namibia is permitted at an additional cost of NAD 227.00 road tax fee (to be paid at the Namibian border), if driving a non-Namibian vehicle.
A road tax fee of ZAR 50.00 will be charged at Swaziland's border (to be paid to Swaziland authorities) for all cars with a foreign licence plate.
