Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) is Optional 
Purchase of LDW reduces the customer liability depending on car group rented. When purchased the amounts will be lowered in the event of an accident, theft or if the Avis vehicle is turned over. The amounts are as follows: 

• Economy, Economy (auto), Intermediate and Intermediate (auto) the Non-waivable Excess (NWE) to 371900.83 ARP; If LDW is declined, the Non-waivable Excess (NWE) to 743801.65 APR; or if the vehicle is Overturned, the Non-waivable Excess (NWE) to 1652892.56 ARP. 
• Full Size, Standard, Standard (auto), Standard SUV, Mini Van,  Mini Commercial Van the Non-waivable Excess (NWE) to 495867.77 ARP; If LDW is declined, the Non-waivable Excess (NWE) to 991735.54 APR; or if the vehicle is Overturned, the Non-waivable Excess (NWE) to 2479338.84 ARP.
• Standard SUV (auto), Standard SUV ,Full Size (auto), Full Size 4WD Pick-Up, and Premium the SUV Non-waivable Excess (NWE) to 661157.02 ARP; If LDW is declined, the Non-waivable Excess (NWE) to 1322314.05  APR; or if the vehicle is Overturned, the Non-waivable Excess (NWE) to 4132231.40 ARP

Avis Argentina accepts Avis Charge Cards, American Express, Mastercard and Visa.  At the time of rental, we will request an authorization of the Non-waivable Excess (NWE) on your charge card, which varies depending on car group rented. For NWE amounts for Non-waivable Excess (NWE) if LDW is accepted or Non-waivable Excess (NWE) if LDW declined, please see Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) section.
Note - The Non-waivable (NWE) for Overturn is not held as a deposit on the charge card.

A valid driver's license from country of residence is required.  International driving permit (IDP) is required only for countries with non-Roman alphabet to serve as a translation.  Foreign visitors must also present a valid passport in the same name and Argentinean citizens must also present his/her National Identity Document.

Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country.  Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.

Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles.  The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental.  Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.

Should I bring the vehicle back with a full tank of fuel?
Yes. The vehicle will normally be supplied with a full tank of fuel. You must return it to us with the same amount of fuel it had in it when you picked it up usually a full tank as shown on the factory-installed fuel gauge.  We recommend you fill up as close to the return location as you can on the return date, and keep the receipt to show us. If you don't return the vehicle with a full tank and you can't show us a receipt for fuel we will charge you.Fuel Options

I plan to travel more than 120kilometres, and want peace of mind, do you have a fuel option for me?
Yes, with Fuel Up Front you pay for a full tank of fuel, based on the manufacturer's stated fuel tank capacity for your vehicle plus our costs of refueling the vehicle for you. Then you just return the vehicle with whatever's left in the tank (even if it's virtually empty) so long as the engine still runs.
How do I calculate the cost of Fuel Up Front?
Depending on where you’re renting, this cost could be up to 0.05 EUR per liter lower than the average fuel price at the start of your rental period as stated on this EU fuel index:. However, you don't get a refund for any fuel you don't use.
Can I get Fuel up Front at any time?
No, if you want to take advantage of Fuel Up Front, you must ask for it during the booking process or when you pick up the vehicle.
I plan to travel less than 120 kilometers, do I still need to fill up?
Yes, often the fuel gauges stills look "full" so we ask you to fill up the tank near to the return location and show us a copy of the receipt.  If you don't have time to fill up the tank, or can't show us a receipt, we will apply EZ Fuel to cover our costs of refueling the vehicle for you.  
How much is EZ Fuel?
Depending on where you're renting, you pay of fixed fee of between 14.50 EUR and 17.00 EUR.  

What are my options if I don't return the vehicle full and haven't bought Fuel up Front?
Pay on Return will apply if you have driven more than 120 kilometers and:

• Don't buy Fuel Up Front
• Don't return the vehicle with a full tank

How do I calculate the cost of Pay on Return?
You pay for fuel based on the factory installed fuel gauge rounded down to the nearest eighth (1/8) of a tank. This is based on the manufacturer's stated fuel tank capacity.
We charge between 1.5 and three times the average fuel price at the end of the rental period for France as stated on this EU fuel index: plus a service fee between 13 EUR and 15 EUR. The price per liter will be stated on your rental agreement. This charge covers our cost of driving to the nearest petrol station at short notice, and potentially delaying the next customer's rental.

Electric Vehicles

How much battery charge should I return an electric vehicle with?

You must return the vehicle with at least a 70% battery charge, or the same % battery charge as it had at the time of pick-up.

What am i charged if I fail to return an electric vehicle with the required 70% battery charge, or the same % battery charge as it had at the time of pick-up?

We charge a fixed amount dependent on the battery life showing on the factory-installed battery gauge. This is the Pay on Return rate. the amounts charged are set out below:

Vehicles can be returned to other Avis locations within this country based on car availability.Vehicles can be driven into Brazil and Chile but must be returned back to Argentina.
Cars must be returned in Argentina’s locations. 
Mechanical assistance and towing service are given exclusively within the territory of Argentina. If the rented car malfunctions outside said territory, the customer must provide the means to return the car to a location in Argentina. 
If the car should be returned in a different office from where it was picked up, there will be an additional fee. 
The customer must place the Reservation at least 7 working days prior to the pick-up date. When doing so, they must request the authorization to cross borders into the chosen country. These reservations are not automatically confirmed, since our locations must check and acknowledge that the requested border crossing can be honored, therefore if said authorization cannot be granted, the car will be rented without the border crossing permit. If the request is confirmed, the customer must provide their credit card information (number, expiration date, security code) to secure the permit.
Cross border fees will be paid at the moment of pick up.
Should the customer cancel the Reservation less than 48 working hours prior to the pick-up date and time, an administrative fee will be charged to their credit card, of the same amount as the cross border fee. 
This service can only be booked by phone through the Reservation Center 0810-9991-2847 or e-mail reservations@avis.com.ar, with at last 7 days in advanced.
The following locations allow travel into Brazil with no additional charge for crossing border. Cordoba, Corrientes, Escobar, Formosa, Iguazu, Mar del Plata, Mendoza, Parana, Pilar, Posadas, Resistencia, Rosario, Santa Fe, Santiago del Estrero.
Note - Customers can only cross from Argentina to Foz do Iguazu, Brazil and travel no more than 50 KM into Brazil.
The following locations allow travel into Chile with 137,190.08 ARP fee (tax included) for crossing border. Bahia Blanca, Bariloche, Comodoro Rivadavia, El Calafate, Esquel, Mendoza, Neuquen, Puerto Madryn, Rio Gallegos, San Juan, San Luis, San Martin de Andes, Trelew, Viedma.
The following locations allow travel into Chile with 137,190.08 ARP fee (tax included)  for crossing border. Jujuy*, Tucuman*, Rio Grande**, Ushuaia**.
*Note - only for rentals with a minimum of 6 consecutive days for car groups G and N.
**Note - Rio Grande and Ushuaia are on an island that shares a border with Chile. To cross to this island portion of Argentina, roads travel through Chile. Only for rentals with a minimum of 6 consecutive days. A border permit is required the cost is 137,190.08 ARP (taxes included).Must contact the reservation center or the location direct for availability and additional details.Cross border is not allowed into Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay. 
One-way rentals outside this country are not allowed.
