Parsippany, NJ octobre 15, 2002 - Avis Rent A Car System, Inc. has announced the launch of the "Drive-In with Avis" booking sweepstakes for travel agents in the United States who use the Sabre GDS. The new contest kicks off on October 14 and will continue through December 31, 2002.
One grand-prize agent winner will select a vacation for two from a choice of three Wyndham Resorts: The Boulders in Carefree, Arizona; Wyndham Palace in Orlando, Florida; or Wyndham Peaks in Southwest, Colorado. Monthly $25.00 gift certificates will be awarded to 50 agents in October, November and December. The owner-manager of the agency will also win a matching grand prize.
The contest is expected to generate additional exposure of Avis as a participant in "Sabre Total Pricing." Agents who book through Sabre can now see the approximate total price, which includes all rates, taxes, fees and surcharges. Every Avis booking an agent makes through Sabre gives them one entry into the sweepstakes. Bookings that include a Saturday night overstay give them two
entries.

A direct mail brochure describing the "Drive-In with Avis" contest will be sent to all Sabre travel agencies in the United States and will include information on the 2003 Avis fleet as well as details on the Avis Cares(r) and LATCH child safety initiative.
