The new online service allows planners to request a proposal, make a car rental reservation for site inspections, download the Avis logo and order free customized support materials.

Additionally, meeting planners can request the customized page to provide information about the event to attendees and allow them to make online reservations that automatically factor in the event's discounted rate.

The site is the latest feature of the Avis Meeting & Group Sales program, which already offers a host of services to meeting planners. Those planners who submit their first proposal request using Avis' new online system before April 30, 2001 will get a free rental day certificate (limit one certificate per meeting planner).
